Bath's most central vineyard, growing and selling local Sparkling Wines of England
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier are the stars of our vineyard. They have coped with the unusual British weather since planting in 2023, and we're busy ensuring they thrive.
Our first harvest took place in September 2025. In the meantime we have launched our Prelude Edition of Sparkling Wines, made from grapes locally grown in Somerset and Wiltshire.
Sitting just to the north-east of Bath, Tennygrove Vineyard was inspired by watching the movie 'A Good Year' at least annually for the last decade. When Ally and Rupert found themselves with land to spare at their farm with south-facing slopes and rich, loamy soil, they felt there was no option but to plant vines. Tennygrove is poised to produce exceptional grapes that to produce English Sparkling Wine and Rose.
Managed by a team of experienced viticulturists, Tennygrove Vineyard is in full grape growing mode, working carefully to preserve the natural beauty and fertility of the land. From careful soil management to precise pruning and harvesting techniques, every step of the process is designed to maximize the potential of the grapes and produce wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of Somerset.
Our Prelude Edition wines are now available grown with grapes from Somerset and Wiltshire.

Launched in Autumn 2025, the Tennygrove Prelude Edition local Somerset & Wilthire Sparkling is available for purchase and pre-booked tastings. With a lot of hard work and some good English weather, we're anticipating some seriously amazing sparkling and still English wines.
If you'd like to share in our dream of helping in an English vineyard, we would love you to join us! Whether it is just for a day at harvest in Autumn, or joining our monthly vineyard mornings, we would love to see you!
We meet on the first Friday of each month, 930-1230, where you will get some basic viticulture training, understand the seasons of growing and pruning vines, and get your hands dirty out in the vineyard. We promise coffee and biscuits to keep you going!
